Homework:
Blog 1 – Create an interactive map. [This map can be part of your final project, but does not have to be.]
Blog 2 – Write brief blog related to your beat and create an interactive timeline that complements your piece.
Blog 3 – Write brief blog related to your beat and create an interactive graphic that complements your piece.
Blog 4 – Discuss your news tracking site’s use of graphics and other interactive data elements. Does your site regularly use static graphics? If your site uses interactive graphics regularly and effectively, give at least two examples of recent stories. Discuss what worked/why it was effective. If your site does not regularly use graphics, give at least two examples of stories where interactive graphics/elements could have been used. Discuss how they could have been used effectively. Be specific.
Assignment 1 – Create a new page for your final project. Post one piece of content for your final project on your page. [If the map for Blog 1 is part of your final project, it does NOT count as piece of content for the purpose of this assignment.]
